The client for this project was Footlite Musicals in Indianapolis. This space had not been renovated since the 70s and had red velour walls, floor and seats with old white ceiling tiles. This was a unique challenge because this was the first time looking at theater design. Photoshop was also mastered along side this project, therefor all rendering was completed with this program. It was a group project to renovate the theater's house, lobby, and backhouse.
The staff's requirements were that red stay the main color of the space. With that we incorporated purple and gold to liven up the atmosphere. The plan was not up to code so we had to redetermine the number of exits, number of bathrooms, and cooridor widths. The ceiling in the lobby was very low and could not be raised at all. Previously in place were white ceiling tiles, we switched these out for a copper colored tile to add some fun. All the electrical had previously been updated about a year before.
The floorplan was done in AutoCAD and all renderings were done in Photoshop.
